Edisa N.'s Story

Edisa is the 4th born of 7 children. Edisa lives with her mother and two young sisters in a single rental room in the kaliro district. Her parents separated due to domestic violence in the home. Edisa’s older sibings dropped out of school due to inablitiy of the parents to provide school fees. At 7years Edisa has never been to school. The mother wishes to send her to school but she is financially unstable . She digs for other people in exchange for food or some money but this is always a drop in an ocean.Edisa wishes to become a doctor and help the mothers in her community, however, given the fact that she is not at school, her chances of becoming a doctor are minimal .
