Shuraim K.'s Story
Shuraim is 13 years of age. He lives with biological parents and 6 siblings in one room. Shuraim’s father lost his job as a taxi driver. He now gets petty jobs at building sites so as to support his family but the pay is always too little to support all the seven children. Being the youngest of Seven children, Shuraim has been inconsistent in attending school due to difficulty of the family members to get school fees for him. He is forced to stay home and miss school due to limited funds.
Often times, priority is given to the older siblings to get an education and he is left out. In 2024, Shuraim did not go attend the last term of school. However, Shuraim loves to study, he hopes to become a teacher someday.
