Madrine K.'s Story

Madrine lives with her mother. Her parents have been separated for the past 10 years. Madrine’s mother struggle single handedly to cater for the children’s basic need. Her father’s absence is felt keenly because he provides nothing to her schooling or medical care, leaving her mother to carry the burden alone.
Madrine’s mother, who is already compromised by chronic ulcers, is pushed to the limit. Madrine is routinely sent home from school due to unpaid tuition, and she is currently at home, unable to attend classes. Her mother’s desperate search for finances continues, but the weight is overwhelming for her.

Madrine wants to become a doctor. However, Madrine’s ambitions of becoming a doctor are fading, drenched by the harsh reality of life at home. We hope that an opportunity through sponsorship will help Madrine achieve her dream of becoming a doctor.
