Grace, a 10-year-old girl, lives in the slums. Grace lives in a high-risk environment and frequently skips school owing to financial constraints. Her parents are unable to support her in attending school on a constant basis, as other children are. Grace is currently in primary six, but she explains that she has only attended school for a few days because she has no school requirements, and her parents are unable to pay her school fees on time.
Grace expresses an interest in studies, but she is plainly concerned that her mother, her main source of support, will be unable to fully support her. This puts Grace at a significant danger of dropping out of school in the near future, exposing her to a variety of terrible scenarios that many children experience if not rescued earlier
Grace is optimistic that with support she would fight against injustices. We believe that supporting Grace with an education would mean a child protected from diverse risks.
