Isaac M.'s Story

Isaac lives with his grandmother. The grandmother takes care of four other grandchildren in a one roomed house. Isaac lost both parents and it has been his grandmother ensuring that he gets an education. However, he only studied for one school term in 2024 as they had to choose between having a meal and sending him to school. Isaac has since stayed out of school and did not complete his primary three. Isaac’s grandmother sells cooked cassava every morning as a source of income and the profits are very minimal. She uses the money to provide the basic needs and also cater for his son with has a mental health problem admitted in a hospital. Isaac lacks both fees and scholastics materials. His grandmother prays so hard that her grandchildren will get a chance to study to brighten the future of the family which seems to be in shackles right now. Isaac wishes to go back to school and become a teacher someday.
