Jordan M.'s Story

Jordan lives with his mother and maternal grandmother in Masese slums in Jinja District. His parents separated to do continuous domestic violence in the home that affected both the mother and Jordan. Jordan and this mother are currently under the care of the grandmother given the fact that they cannot afford to live an independent life.Jordan’s mother works in a factory but often affected by the irregular payment by the company. The irregular pay is barely enough to meet the rising costs of school fees and essential supplies for her child. Jordan’s mother therefore works different shifts with hope that her son can pursue his dreams, undeterred by the hardships that surround them though she continuously struggles. The father of the child does not pay child support.Jordan has big dream of becoming a doctor and we believe that if he is given an opportunity through sponsorship, he will be able to achieve his dream. We therefore recommend him for sponsorship.
