Marvin K.'s Story

Marvin lives with his mother and step father after a separation with his biological father, where he stays with the rest of the children he had with his mother.
Marvin is at a very high risk of dropping out of school due to circumstance of the separation but also an alcoholic mother who is visibly wasted due to excessive alcohol consumption. His step-father therefore sees Marvin as a burden. Marvin’s mother is visibly wasted and has given up on herself which is directly affecting Marvin emotionally.
At the time of assessment Marvin had not reported to school yet children of his age were already at school.
Given Marvin’s expression he is very optimistic that with support he would become a committed officer to enforce law and order, we recommend sponsorship for him to make his dream become a reality.
