Christine N.'s Story

Christine is a six-year-old girl staying with her mother and father in the Kaliro district. Both parents are peasant farmers and strive to make life livable for their five children. Christine’s father lost his boda (Motorcycle) riding job and this has affected the family financially. Christine is of school going age but is at home. The hope of returning to school this term is very little due to hardships the family that the family is currently facing. At the time of assessment Christine had gone to the well to fetch water for home use.
Christine wants to become a doctor when she grows up. This can only be possible if she is in the school to keep motivated and focused.
