Joskat K.'s Story

Joskat is a primary school student living with his mother. He is a hardworking and motivated child who enjoys studying and is eager to continue his education.

Joskat has grown up without a father figure since his father left for South Sudan for work many years ago and never returned or communicated with the family again. His mother now carries the full responsibility of providing for them by selling vegetables such as cabbage and tomatoes on the streets of Katwe. The income she earns is small and often not enough to meet basic needs, including school fees, scholastic materials, and other educational requirements. Because of this, Joskat’s schooling has been disrupted at times.

Despite these challenges, Joskat remains committed to learning and hopes to build a better future through education. Sponsorship would help him remain in school consistently, receive the support he needs, and continue pursuing his goals.
