Josiah B.'s Story

Josiah lives with his single mother in the slums . His mother took full responsibility for the family after Josiah’s father abandoned them in 2021. She works hard selling fried cassava in the community, but her small income is barely enough to cover rent and provide daily meals.

Because of ongoing financial hardship, Josiah often misses school, as his mother is unable to meet the basic requirements needed for his education. This has placed his dream of becoming a doctor at risk—not due to a lack of ability or motivation, but simply because of limited opportunity. Sponsorship would give Josiah the chance to attend school consistently, restore hope in his future, and ease the heavy burden on his mother. With this support, Josiah can continue his education and pursue his dream of becoming a doctor.
