Yusuf K.'s Story

Yusuf lives with both of his parents and eight siblings in Katwe. The family faces significant financial hardship, making it difficult to support all nine children in the household. At the time of assessment, none of the children were attending school, despite being of school-going age. Yusuf is a cheerful and lively child who shows curiosity, intelligence, and a natural enthusiasm for learning. Although he has a stammer when speaking, this has not affected his confidence or eagerness to attend school. He has already demonstrated a strong interest in education, and his potential is clearly evident.
