Trevor lives under the care of his mother after his parents separated when he was very young due to ongoing domestic violence in the home. Although his mother has since remarried, Trevor’s stepfather does not support his education or general welfare. Because of financial hardship, his mother was unable to continue paying for school, and Trevor stopped attending in 2024 while still in kindergarten. She works as a casual laborer in Bumbajja, earning a modest income by digging in people’s gardens, while also caring for an infant from her current marriage.
Trevor is an energetic, sociable, and well-behaved child who has expressed a strong desire to return to school. Currently out of formal education, he spends his days playing with friends during school hours. We recommend Trevor for sponsorship, as this support would restore his opportunity to learn, ease the burden on his hardworking mother, and provide stability and hope for their family.
